Search & Filter Assets
The Search/Filter Bar allows you to search for assets by Zone, Asset Type, or barcode. You can also sort results using the Sort field. The total number of assets currently displayed is shown in the right corner of the Search/Filter Bar.
Search by Zone
Use the Zone drop-down on the Search/Filter Bar to filter the assets list to a specific zone. Results are displayed in the assets list and the total number of matching assets is shown in the display box on the bar.
💡 Zones can be used to group assets into specific areas within a location to make the inspection process more efficient. Refer to What is a Zone Map? for more information.
Search by Asset Type
Use the Type drop-down on the Search/Filter Bar to filter the assets list by Asset Type. The Zone and Type fields can be used together to narrow results further.
📌 Note: Select X next to the Zone or Type field to reset the filter back to All Zones or All Types.
Search by Barcode
The Find field uses barcode technology to locate a specific asset in the list. This is especially useful in large facilities with many assets.
Step 1. Click inside the Find field on the Search/Filter Bar so the cursor is active.
Step 2. Scan the barcode on the asset using a scanning app or tablet, or manually type the barcode number.
Step 3. The matching asset is displayed in the Assets list.
💡 You can also scan a barcode to populate the Scancode field when initially adding an asset to the form.
Sort the Assets List
Use the Sort drop-down on the Search/Filter Bar to sort the assets list by a specific field (e.g., Zone, Type, Location). Use the ascending/descending arrows to reverse the sort order.
Special Filters
The Special Filters button allows you to apply advanced filter criteria to the Assets list.
Step 1. Select the Special Filters button on the Assets Form.
Step 2. The Filter Assets window is displayed.
Step 3. Select a filter from the drop-down selection list.

Step 5. Select Clear Filter to remove the Special Filter and return to the full assets list.
